The worst part about the death of Amy Winehouse are the people on tumblr complaining about people being insensitive to her death. Sixteen hours ago 92 innocent people (mostly teenagers) died in Norway from a youth camp massacre and a bomb in the city. Deaths they had no control over. Where is their post?
I haven’t seen one post mourning their loss, but 1 in 4 posts mourning Amy Winehouse. Who presumably died because of her own actions.
I hope these people get the recognition they deserve, and the help too.
People are defending Amy Winehouse because it’s never appropriate to ridicule the dead, regardless of how they died. If a kid committed suicide, would you make fun of them for “dying because of their own actions”? No. Yeah it’s terrible that so many people were murdered, but it’s terrible that she died as well. Sorry for honoring the dead?
Personally I’ve seen a pretty equal amount of posts about both deaths, so maybe you’re just following the wrong people?
